Our Values

Footprints Nursery provides an holistic curriculum, which is underpinned by the ‘Footprint Values’. These core values are at the heart of everything we do at Footprints. We embed them into daily life in a range of meaningful and age-appropriate ways.

We seek to develop a child's social and emotional skills by helping them build empathy, compassion and to form positive relationships. For example, kindness provides a foundation for a strong moral compass, equipping them to make good choices, navigate conflicts, and develop a positive personality that contributes to their well-being.

The curriculum- Woodland Room (our younger children)

Woodland room Curriculum Intent statement-

The intent of our younger curriculum is to provide a calm, nurturing and responsive environment where every child feels secure, cared for and able to thrive. We focus on building strong attachments, supporting early communication and encouraging curiosity through sensory-rich, engaging experiences tailored to their unique needs and interests.

Woodland Curriculum and teaching statement and goals-

Our curriculum is delivered through a carefully considered balance of purposeful teaching activities and spontaneous play-based interactions within a rich, stimulating environment. Through high-quality adult interactions; including scaffolding, modelling, and extending learning- children build sequential knowledge and skills across both types of experiences.

Achievement statement-

Each child flourishes and makes progress on our ‘Assessment Ranges’ from their unique starting points, developing into curious, creative and confident learners who feel secure to explore. Their achievements are celebrated in Learning Journals and support a smooth transition into the Forest room.
