Our Intent

Intent- 

At Footprints we believe that every child has individual interests and motivations which when tapped into creates high levels of engagement leading to high levels of attainment. The intent of our curriculum is to ensure that our children develop the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to prepare them for their next phase in education while also using their interests to gain a deep love of learning.

Implementation- 

The curriculum delivery is a balance between the direct teaching and practice of sequential knowledge and skills, and ample learning through play in a stimulating environment. Quality learning is supported by adult interaction, following a child-led planning model which enables the development of cumulative knowledge and skills. 

Impact- 

Each child makes clear progress, they are curious, creative and able to challenge themselves. Learning journals document the development of their journey with the intention to be ready for their next phase of education.
